Hi Erika J. Waters,
Seeing your picture for the first time re-activated those wonderful memories when you were editor of The Caribbean Writers. Certainly I miss your presence as editor. And wished I could have met you, when unfortunately, though invited to Writers' sessions, I could not attend. Though very busy you are, I should very much like to wrench some advice from someone whom I always longed to meet. Meeting you in picture is a hopeful beginning, won't you agree.
Best wishes,
Lionel Seepaul.

What an amazing day!!! I had a great time participating in the Naples Authors Event today. Thanks goes out to all involved in organizing this incredible day, and also to the shops I was stationed at: Kilwin’s of Naples Ice Cream, Prudential Florida Realty, and Vergina’s on Fifth. Sold a lot of books, met a lot of fantastic people, and gained a few new character ideas from time spent people watching! A total success!! Kudos to you, NPC!

John,
The conference is supposed to help people in your situation with classes and networking times. If you're not interested in attending writing conferences, I'm not sure how "seriously" others in this industry will take you, but I would recommend attending some free writing group functions. The Florida Writers Association website lists local groups, which have leaders to tell you when meetings take place. That's good for networking. Of course, those are people who will be as busy as you are and not necessarily connected to publishers or editors the way folks at a conference will be. The plus side is writing groups or critique groups are free to the public...You get what you pay for. Check out their upcoming speakers and see what you think of your opportunities. There are a ton of writing groups in the Naples area that have splintered off of each other for one reason or another.
Best of luck!
Sandy Lender

JR, We will have sign-up form when you check-in at the conference!

Questions, I will asked on sign-up:

Do you use your @gmail.com @yahoo.com @aol.com @comcast.net email address for outgoing business/book marketing correspondence?

Do you have a blog? Does it end with wordpress.com, blogspot.com, tumblr.com, posterous.com

When and by whom was your website built, if you have one?

What are the three most important things you feel you need to learn from a workshop on website and online presence?
